Rex Trickett

Rex Trickett, along with his twin brothers George and Harold, were all on Manchester City's books.
Rex played a few reserve matches for them before his national service in Africa and the Middle East.
On his return, Rex played local football for Swinton Bowbroom WMC in which he enjoyed a lot of success. Notably, in 1958, when Bowbroom won the Montagu Cup.

Rex also played for Swinton Athletic and Denaby United. He remembers getting half-a-crown for playing away at SWFC reserves for DUFC.
Rex scored two in an Army Cadet final at Bramall Lane. He was an inside-right.

Later Rex was called up by the to represent England for the army - his stint in North Africa prevented this.
