Cyril Grant of Wath went on to play for Arsenal, Fulham and Southend United.
Sidney Dawson of Mexborough played for Grimsby Town.
The Cocker in 1942 was thought to be Les Cocker, but further research revealed it to be John Cocker who was on Arsenal's books before the war.
