Paul "Tupper" Cooke

Paul played in SIX Montagu Cup finals and was on the winning side on 4 occasions.  He was captain of Denaby & Cadeby Miners' Welfare when they won the Mont for 3 consecutive seasons (a feat only matched by Hickleton Main 1910/11/12 and Manvers Main 1940/41/42).
In 1989 Paul started with an 18-month battle to overcome cancer, involving 2 operations and 4 courses of chemotherapy.
