Cyril Warren and one of his 3 Mont winner's medals from 1939, 1940 and 1941.
He was due to have a trial with Wolverhampton Wanderers but injured his knee in the pit at Manvers and couldn’t go

In the 3rd round Manvers Main fielded no less than FIVE first division players.  In the line up was Stan Burton, who played for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the 1939 FA Cup Final, and Lionel Smith, the first choice Arsenal centre-half who went on to win six international caps for England.

The result of the 3rd round tie was Manvers Main 3 Rawmarsh Welfare 1 with Stan Burton scoring one and setting up the other two.
