The first final was played on Monday 28th April at Mexborough. The replay was scheduled for Wath’s Athletic Ground on Wednesday 30th April but appears to have been played at Mexborough.

Willis Walker was Rovers' keeper for this match.  He went on to play for Leeds City.  He was also an accomplised cricketer as well.  He played for Notts, although he had to lie about his place of birth.

(James) William Adamson's runners-up medal sent in by his great granddaughter, Tracy Day Dawson.
Tracy's research indicates that the crest is that of the Earl of Mexborough - the Savile family.
The CU probably stands for Charles Usher, a silversmith.
