Jim Harvey

Jim Harvey could have up to FOUR Montagu Cup winners medals (1940, 1941, 1942, 1945) to add to his Totty Cup winners medal from (1925).

In between these local football successes, Jim played in goal for Bristol Rovers (1 appearance) and Gillingham (17 appearances).

Harvey's TottyCup success was with Wath National (1925)

Jim was the regular keeper with Manvers Main throughout the 1939/40 season.  Manvers won the Montagu Cup final in 1940 by a record 8-0 so it's perhaps understandable that the keeper didn't feature in the match report.  It is very likely that Harvey played.

The following year Harvey did feature as he is mentioned in the report about receiving replica trophies/medals.

Manvers achieved three Mont wins on the bounce wit their 1942 success.  There are very few reports on this final (and the earlier rounds).

In 1945 Manvers won for a fourth time - with a goalkeeper, Liddall.  However, Jim Harvey was listed as a coach for Manvers Main in August 1945, so there is a chance he was involved in the Montagu Cup a few months earlier.
